Tracking technologies
Our website uses cookies - small files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your end device (e.g. laptop, tablet, smartphone) as soon as you visit our site.
These files store information that is directly related to the device you are using. However, this does not mean that we directly learn your identity. Cookies are primarily used to make your use of our website more pleasant. For example, we use session cookies to recognise that you have visited certain pages - these are automatically deleted when you leave our site.
We also use temporary cookies that are stored on your device for a specified period. If you visit our website again, we recognise that you have already been there and can adapt your previous entries and settings so that you do not have to enter them again. We also use cookies to statistically record how our website is used and to optimise our offering for you. These cookies also enable us to identify you on your next visit and are automatically deleted after a defined period.
The collection and processing of this data using cookies is necessary for the aforementioned purposes. Although most browsers accept cookies automatically, you can adjust your browser settings so that either no cookies are stored or you are informed before they are stored. Please note, however, that completely deactivating cookies may mean that not all functions of our website are available.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our websites - a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, based in Mountain View, California, USA. Google Limited Ireland (‘Google’) is responsible for Europe. If you would like to deactivate Google Analytics, Google provides a corresponding browser plugin under this link.
Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. small text files that make it possible to store specific, user-related information on your end device. This data allows Google to analyse the use of our website. If the information collected by the cookie - such as your IP address - is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there, we have integrated the command ‘gat._anonymiseIp();’ on our website. This anonymises IP addresses within the member states of the European Union and other contracting states of the European Economic Area so that no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. Only in exceptional cases will your IP address be transmitted in full to a Google server in the USA, where it will then be truncated. Google also reserves the right to link your IP address with other data. For the transfer of data to the USA, Google has undertaken to sign and comply with the EU standard contractual clauses.
Google Maps
We integrate Google Maps (API) from Google Inc. on our website (address: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; responsible for Europe: Google Limited Ireland, ‘Google’). This service enables the display of interactive maps so that you can, for example, see our location and find us easily. As soon as you access the subpages in which Google Maps is integrated, usage information - such as your IP address - is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. This happens regardless of whether you are logged in to Google or not. If you are logged in, the data collected will be assigned directly to your account. To avoid this, please log out before using the website. Here too, Google stores the data collected as usage profiles and analyses them. For such data transfers to the USA, Google has undertaken to comply with the EU standard contractual clauses.
Social Media Plugins
We use social media plugins from third-party providers on our website, which you can recognise by the logos of the respective social networks - we currently use the LinkedIn plugin, for example. When you visit our website, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective third-party provider so that content (such as YouTube videos) is transmitted directly to your browser and integrated into the page.
The transfer of data for the display of content, such as publications on Twitter, takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the third-party provider and are logged in. If you are logged in, the data we collect will be directly assigned to your account. If you activate the plugin, your information will also be published on the social network and displayed to your contacts. For the exact purpose and scope of the data collection as well as the further processing and use of your data by the third-party provider, please refer to the data protection information of the respective provider. These third-party providers store the information collected about you as user profiles and use it for advertising, market research and/or to customise their website - this also applies to users who are not logged in, to display targeted advertising and to inform other users about your activities on our website.
If you would like to prevent the data collected via our website from being assigned to your personal profile on the social network, please log out before visiting the relevant page. Alternatively, you can completely block the loading of plugins using specialised browser add-ons such as Ghostery or NoScript.
